Stephen Magyar is a Branch Manager and Loan Officer at the Shreveport, LA Branch for Assurance Financial. He is licensed through the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry in Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas and Tennessee.

Before starting my career in mortgage lending, I completed an undergraduate degree in Speech Communications at Baylor University and received a law degree from Louisiana State University. Those degrees drove me to pursue work in various legal capacities and in real estate, specifically in residential and commercial property management. The experience I gained in those fields allows me to make a seemingly complicated transaction much more understandable for each of my borrowers.
Since moving to Shreveport, LA in 2012, I have become actively involved in this community, specifically working as a mentor to high school students through Young Life. When I’m not waist-deep in real estate, you can find me enjoying time with my wife and son, grilling on my back porch, making music, or on the golf course. I also enjoy exploring all of the food, concerts, and culture that Northwest Louisiana has to offer.
